A very sad time for the Elephant 6 family. We had a very sweet memorial for our friend last night at the Landfill (Reese St. house) in Athens. Funeral services will be held in DeRidder, Louisiana on Saturday. Please feel free to leave messages at the E6 townhall message board. Will Westbrook was one of my best friends and I will miss him greatly.

Yes, Yes, Yes. There are a few DVD projects being assembled regarding elephant six or particular E6 bands. So dig out those boxes from your closets and basements. we want it all! we've got some real gems already (including rare footage of the infamous clay bears!) but we'd like what else is out there. please email me if you've got questions. kelly (at) elephant6 (dot) com.

Hello everyone. Sorry i haven't updated the site in a few months. i've been so busy! for one, i bought a house (actually it's the E6 house that was featured in Rolling Stone and the NMH 33 1/3 book). It has been a rental property for the last 25 years has seen lots of abuse. it has been everything from a frat house, a live venue where bands like elf power and bablicon played and the infamous "Headquarters of E6 East". So it's been taking alot of my free time to mend its wounds!

But there has been so much going on in the E6 world! i'm going to try to catch up and keep up to date. check back often and thanks for reading!

2 months without an update! ouch. sorry about that. that definitely is not an indication that nothing is happening in E6 land. no sir. in fact there's a LOT of stuff happening. new records, touring...

and just for the gossip mill... jeremy barnes is working on a new record, robert schneider is finishing a new Marbles record... very exciting.

i'll try to get some new stuff on the website soon... i've been busy lately. i'm working 2 jobs on top of working for my friends at Orange Twin and Cloud Recordings. so needless to say i don't have a lot of free time. but i still have a lot of stuff i'd like to get on the website.

added an mp3 of an Apples in Stereo song that was only released on a SpinArt Records 10" compilation and as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Fun Trick Noisemaker. i recorded it off the vinyl record so it may have some vinyl pops on it. if someone has the japanese version of Fun Trick and wants to send me an mp3 of the song let me know.

i've finally had some free time to start organizing this pile of E6 live recordings i've accumulated. so hopefully i'll have some new mp3s for you all very soon. but i may have to implement some sort of rotation schedule of the shows on the website because they take up so much space on the server.

The first new addition is an acoustic radio session Jeff Mangum did in May 1998 when NMH was touring in the UK. it's not the most hi-fi copy but it's alright. if someone out there has a better copy, please let me know! thanks!

also, on a semi-related note... we're looking for any generous soul out there who's got some extra server space and a lot of bandwidth to host the orange twin radio. if you fit this description please contact me or the late bp helium. merci beaucoup.
